Covid 19
It is very important to all of us that nobody catches Covid. Infection rates are still extremely high and the Italian authorities are stricter than those in the UK. Please observe one metre social distancing at all times, and wear surgical masks on our bus. If you do have any symptoms you must self-isolate straight away. Be aware that some venues and transport operators may require masks to the FFP2 specification.
Weather conditions
The average minimum temperature (usually the minimum temperature is noted during the night) in Langhe in May is 14.0°C (57.2°F). The amount of rain in May is normal with an average of 73mm (2.9in). It rains on average a total of 7 days. You can expect very pleasant temperatures during the day. The average maximum daytime temperature lies around 20.3°C (68.54°F).
Dress code
During the day and for most evenings, the dress code will be smart/casual (no jeans or trainers). The dress code for gentlemen for the dinners at Guido and at the Castello di Grinzane Cavour is lounge suits and neckties. Ladies have their choice of long or short dresses. As walking will be required on uneven ground, comfortable but sturdy, closed shoes are advisable. Given the possible weather conditions and varying altitudes, we would suggest having layers of clothes at hand, in case of fluctuations in temperatures.
