Dear Fellow Members,
Our July function will be a dinner at Ayà at Balmori, Rockwell, organized by Jay Padilla.
Ayà, a wine lounge rooted in Filipino hospitality, welcomes guests with the warmth of visiting a friend’s home. Guests are invited to enjoy an array of food and drinks in a casual, inviting atmosphere. The wine program offers selections that are accessible and unpretentious, connecting cultures while staying grounded in Filipino heritage, with each bottle thoughtfully paired to complement the food.
The menu embodies a spirit of “happy cooking,” offering dishes designed to be enjoyed often and shared with others. It promotes a way of eating that is simple, joyful, and communal, balancing creativity with comfort and tradition with a touch of innovation while remaining honest and delicious.
The design reimagines Capiz windows and solihiya patterns using modern materials, creating a warm, understated space that feels both contemporary and familiar. Overlooking the city skyline, Ayà offers guests a place to savor Filipino flavors amidst shifting light, delivering a calm and engaging dining experience.
