Dear Fellow Members,

Our next function will be a blind tasting of 4 2019 Bordeaux blends from around the world. All will be majority Cabernet Sauvignon but blended with some of the other grapes of the Left Bank. All the wines will be in the same general price range, from about P 3500.00 to P 4100.00 and will be served blind. We will have a simple rating sheet to see which wines we prefer and try to guess where the wines come from. This will be at Elbert's Collective at 6:00 PM on May 28.

After the blind tasting, we will be having a dinner of the following:

Pizza Fritta

Trippa alla Romana

Seared Tuna on mixed greens, Asian dressing

Spaghetti Carbonara

Veal Milanese, rosemary marble potatoes

Grilled Iberico Pluma, charcuterie sauce, polenta

Amaretto cherry panna cotta, coffee or tea

The red wines tasted will also serve as our reds for the dinner. For white wine we will be serving the 2007 Huet Demi-sec, and for dessert, the 2011 Charles Hours Uroulat Jurançon.

Where: Elbert's Collective V Corporate Center, Salcedo Village, 125 L.P. Leviste Street, Makati

Assessment: P 6000.00 for members, P 6300.00 for guests

Attire: Smart Casual

Deadline: Reservations and cancellations should be in by 12 Noon, Monday, May 26, 2025. Reservations made and not cancelled by the deadline must be paid.

Reservations: Please make your reservations with Alda Navarro at internationalwine.foodsociety@gmail.com. Please note that there is a minimum of 12 pax for this function. If we do not get the minimum of 12 pax by the deadline, this function will be cancelled and a notice to that effect will be sent.

Please make your payments by depositing directly to the Society's account at BPI Bel-Air Polaris Branch C/A 3075-8213-35. Please provide proof of payment by email to Alda at internationalwine.foodsociety@gmail.com with your name clearly written. Do not hand any payments to the individuals named above to avoid the inadvertent mixing of personal and Society funds. We regret that at this time, Alda is unable to accept checks as she is not in Manila regularly. We encourage everyone to please make your payments before the function to avoid any misunderstandings.
