Your IW&FS Toronto Board is pleased to announce that this year’s Garden Party will be held on Sunday, September 7th on the lawns of Supriya and Brett James’ home in Forest Hill, Toronto. As this is a New Member’s Retention Event, you are reminded to invite friends/close colleagues who are interested in joining our Toronto Chapter of oenophiles: we continue to need new members to sustain our chapter, to meet our events’ registration needs, and to stock our wine cellar.
To celebrate IW&FS Toronto members, we shall once again uncork some stellar wines that have been maintained in our private 1100-bottle wine cellar. Thanks to the annual wine levies paid by our members, our wine cellar is constantly restocked for the tastings of present and future members.
Accompanying our wine tastings shall be an array of impeccable hors d’oeuvres, created and served by Jayne’s Gourmet, the catering company of Executive chef and IWFS Board member, Jayne Dunsmore.
DATE: Sunday, September 7th, 2025
START TIME: 3 – 6 PM
LOCATION*: 100 Vesta Drive, Toronto, ON. (Main intersection = Spadina Rd + Burton Rd).
Please use the side entrance to the garden on your left.
*This will be an outdoor event.
*Please exercise judgement regarding the guests you invite as this event will be taking place within a private residence.
MENU:
A SELECTION OF SEVEN HORS D’OEUVRES:
Trio of heirloom beets – candied pecans, aged chèvre, kohlrabi cress, lemon thyme dressing Caprese Skewers – bocconcini, fresh basil, cherry. Tomatoes, olives.
Honey crisp apple, stilton cheese parcels, walnut pastry;
Salad rolls – rice paper, rice noodles, Thai sauce, crisp;
Coconut crusted Jumbo Tiger Shrimp with housemate plum sauce;
Mini Yorkshire puddings with tenderloin of beef, stilton cream;
Mini Lamb burgers – feta mousse, mint, rosemary, garlic, arugula;
Vegetables.
