Our next Fall dinner and wine tasting will take us into the heart of Danforth Village to its neighbourhood gem, Judaline. The inspiration for the restaurant’s name and welcoming atmosphere is owner Joshua Mott’s mother, Judaline.
 
Judaline’s rotating menu features elevated Canadian seasonality and all-Ontario meat/local produce wherever possible. Its chef, Cesar Karanapakorn, draws on his Thai and Mexican roots to suffuse punchy flavours into classic Canadian fare. This gastronomic fusion has been well-received by IW&FS Board members, Marna Santo and Patricia Virc: “Our meals were inventive, vibrant and delectable with Chef Karanapakorn’s distinctive culinary approach. We hope our friends at IW&FS Toronto will relish this upcoming dining adventure as much as we did.”

SAVORY CHURRO
Macha aioli, avocado purée, pickled red onion, Mezcal salt, Siberian caviar.
Wine pairing: Authentic Meunier Brut, Champagne, NV

SHRIMP “ZARANDEADO”
Guajillo Mexican papas, chile de Arbol, garlic chips, lime. 
Wine pairing: Dominio de Punctum Skin Contact 20000 Leguas, 2021
 
DRY CHILLIES & COFFEE RUB 8 oz STRIPLOIN
Pasilla & Ancho chilies, truffle mash potatoes, beef jus, Thai basil, and cilantro oil. 
Wine pairing: D’Angelo Aglianico del Vulture Riserva Caselle, 2012
 
COCONUT + WHITE CHOCOLATE
Tumeric-toasted coconut, mango and lime jam, white chocolate and mint mousse. 
Wine pairing: Martha’s Moscatel do Douro, NV
