EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Open the stag season at Toscana Divino, a new Italian restaurant on convenient South Miami Avenue, behind Brickell. Toscana Divino’s organization is unusual. The ownership is principally Italian. There are two executive chefs, Marco Stabile, chef of Michelin-starred Ora d’Aria in Florence, and Englishman Julian Baker, who is on site in Miami. Marco has the lead on designing dishes and Julian, of course, in preparing them. Julian traveled extensively in Tuscany since his youth and has trained there as well. Uniquely, the restaurant is supported by Terre del Levante fiorentino, a consortium of Florentine producers of wine, food, and fashion, that seeks to develop markets for Florentine products. Food products are used by Toscana Divino and fashion products are displayed there.

The restaurant specializes in both traditional and modern Florentine cuisine. Our menu is exquisite: a soup of white onion, prosciutto, egg, and tomato; carpaccio of venison; a beef and rabbit ragu with macaroni and gnocchi; braised and roasted suckling pig; and a finishing dish of cheese.

Toscana Divino received a strong review from the Miami Herald and, as well, has been reported on in the Italian and Tuscan press. Mary Brickell Village has valet parking, but there is ample parking at lower prices in nearby lots and buildings.
