Those who were born  in 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980 or 1992 were born in the Chinese Year of the Monkey. The Wine & Food Society of Jacksonville gathered for a Dim Sum class and brunch in preparation for the celebration of the Chinese new year, which will begin on February 8, 2016. Executive Chef Dennis Chan, author of the cookbook, Hip Asian Comfort Food, conducted a hands on Dim Sum class for our members. Everyone had the opportunity to help in the preparation of the first course items. Wines were expertly matched to the food by Tom Marsland.Everyone agreed, this was a great event! Many of the recipes could be found in his cookbook.
