Please use this calendar to review Branch events, both those held in the past and for future events planned:

The 2025 Branch AGM and lunch was held on 29th March at Lebanese Please in Weybridge.

On Saturday 10th May we lunched at the French Table in Surbiton .

We held a wine tasting at Langton's in Egham, n with wines provided by Laithwaites.

Our long-running series of Starters & Puds  (No. 34) continued on 31st August. This should have been held in a member's garden near Woking, but inclement weather forced us to relocate to the nearby village hall.

We visited Kingham's in Shere in September 2025  for a splendid lunch in this 17th century building.

A "Christmas Canapes" event was held in November at a member's  home in Weybridge.

The first event of 2026 was another wine tasting at Langton's in Egham in February.

Our 2026 Branch AGM will be held at the Greene Oak near Windsor (not quite in Surrey, but relocated because of a sporting event to be held at our chosen venue which will close the road).

We plan to return to the French Table in the spring, we hope to arrange a floating lunch on the Thames in the summer, and there will be further events throughout the year.

The Royal Oak at Paley Street is one of the few pub restaurants to boast a Michelin Star.   Chef Dominic Chapman has worked in many well known kitchens including Kensington Place and The Fat Duck, as well as serving as Head Chef at the Hinds Head in Bray before moving to the Royal Oak, where he soon gained a Bib Gourmand followed by a Michelin Star.  Some of you will have seen him on TV recently in The Great British Menu, where he was complimented on serving great food, but marked down for ‘failing to tell a story’!

Now your dedicated Committee has been to the Royal Oak and arranged a  lunch there on Saturday 26th July, starting with a glass of Prosecco at 1230 pm, followed by a specially chosen three course menu, and coffee.  The price will be £39.50 for members and £41.50 for guests.   Wines with the meal are not included, but the restaurant has a wide selection of wines by the glass, as well as an extensive wine list.  Early bookings would be appreciated so that we are able to confirm the reservation of their private room.   We can accommodate a maximum of 16.

Cost: £39.50 for members and £41.50 for guests.
