Overview

The IW&FS consists of like minded people, both couples and singles, who are interested in pursuing knowledge of food and wine in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere.

The Manchester Branch was founded in 1951 and is the largest branch in the UK outside London. It has a strong committee of eight who work to organise a varied programme.

 Our events, of which there are usually up to ten per year,  include:

• formal dinners

• informal lunches

• tastings

• food & wine pairings

• demonstrations

The venues range from catering colleges to Michelin aspiring restaurants and take place in and around Manchester and the North West.
