Piedmont Festival

Welcome

May I wish you a warm welcome to the EAZ Piedmont Festival.  We have a great programme of events lined up for you, and I hope that you will have a wonderful time.

I should like to express my particular thanks to Phillip Kim, a member of London Branch who has put an enormous amount of work into organising this festival for us, greatly complicated by the need to re-schedule several times because of Covid restrictions.

We are delighted to have many distinguished members of IWFS with us on this occasion, including Chris Bonsall, Ian Nicol, and John Nicholas, as well as several members of the EAZ Executive Committee.  I am particularly pleased to welcome Michael Tamburri, Chairman of our Asia Pacific Zone who is currently serving as Global Chair of the Society.

Your organizer

Phillip Kim is a long-time wine lover and collector who has lived in the US, Hong Kong and resides now in London UK with his wife Susan Urkevich.  He is a member of London Branch, and has completed the coursework for the WSET Level 3 certificate.  He is a former banker, who currently writes fiction and non-fiction books.

Benvenuti a tutti! We have an enticing programme lined up in the magical region of Langhe  in Piemonte, and hope that you will enjoy it.

Covid 19

It is very important to all of us that nobody catches Covid.  Infection rates are still extremely high and the Italian authorities are stricter than those in the UK.  Please observe one metre social distancing at all times, and wear surgical masks on our bus. If you do have any symptoms you must self-isolate straight away.  Be aware that some venues and transport operators may require masks to the FFP2 specification.
