Huangpu (Shanghai) Founding dinner

2019, April 16th was the founding dinner of the IWFS Huangpu branch, named after the main river and historical passenger harbor of Shanghai. It was also the accomplishment of an idea started in Taipei, with Dominique Levy. Over the months this idea became a project with Eddie Hu and Yvonne Wallis and finally, we launched together this new IWFS branch in Shanghai with 24 founding members. Among them we count Denis Lin, the famous Taiwanese wine expert & KOL, Guillaume Brochard and Francois-David Martino, wine estates owners and many friends from all part of the world sharing the same philosophy about wines and gastronomy. The menu was created by Jerome Laurent, Michelin Chef from Arles (Provence), founding member, as well. The first dinner was taking place in the former French settlement, as a tribute to Andre Simon, founder of the IWFS back in 1933. And the menu was associated to a large selection of Burgundy wines brought by the founding members themselves. A beautify moment and memory…!
