Tuyo is a culinary jewel sitting atop Miami Dade College’s acclaimed Miami Culinary Institute, offering spectacular views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay and a sizzling romantic ambiance. Tuyo’s Executive Chef Victor Santos answered our Host Marc Lippman’s request to create a mouthwatering Contemporary American menu for this Miami Chapter Coed Event. He replied with courses like Gulf Shrimp Ceviche in Gazpacho Heirloom Tomato, Hess Avocado, Citrus Salad, Peruvian Canchas; Pan Roasted Filet of Halibut with Parsnip Purée, King Trumpet Mushrooms, Braised Swiss Chard and Caviar Vin Blanc; and the magnificent main course Filet of Black Angus Beef & Braised Oxtail with Enoki Mushroom Fricassee and Port Reduction which we pair with our marquee wines side by side, the 100 point and the 98 point 2002 and 2001 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blends. We are pulling wonderful wines from the New World in keeping with the cuisine. Tuyo is part of Miami Dade College Culinary Institute set in Downtown Miami and our attendance will supports Miami Dade College and the Culinary Institute. This is not to be missed.
