The Memphis Wine and Food Society returned to Tsunami Restaurant June 10 , 2025 after a multi-year absence. Since 1998, Tsunami has been a top Memphis dining destination lead by chef/owner Ben Smith. His culinary approach of minimalism which eschews pretension instead emphasizes focused flavors via the meticulous selection of ingredients. Dinner Chairman Buck Lawson selected some of Chef Smith's iconic dishes for the dinner which included Roasted Sea Bass over a bed of Black Sticky Thai Rice with Soy Beurre Blanc. The seafood focused menu featured five outstanding white burgundies from different regions. The dinner was a well orchestrated , very enjoyable event for the membership and guests.
