Classical Dinner

Dear IWFS Houston wine & food friends,

Please join us on Friday, March 13^th, as we will celebrate the 10^th Joy Fontes-Rothwell Classical Black-Tie Dinner.  We will be returning to the warmth and comforting sanctuary of the Coronado Club, where we have enjoyed many wonderful evenings the past many years.

The Coronado Club is located on the 5^th floor of 919 Milam.  Valet parking is included in the cost of the event.  Drop your car off curbside on the Milam Street entrance.  The club, under Manager Mary Eaton, Event Director Amy Clark, and Chef Robert Greene, continues to create memorable events.  This will surely be another one.

Please see the attached menu with several wines selected from our branch cellar.  The Champagne reception will jump start the evening with the 2012 Roederer Estate L’Ermitage Sparkling Wine, recently rated #5 in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2019.  A list of the evening’s featured wines, with descriptions and ratings is attached.

The cost for this special evening is $145 for members and $195 for guests, reflecting a subsidy for this traditional celebration.   To allow you a bit of extra time to prepare for this black-tie event, the reception will begin at 7:00 pm, with dinner to follow at 7:30 pm.
