Dear IW&FS Members and Wine and Food Friends:
Please join us at Potente Thursday, October 19, 2017 for a creative Italian menu paired with Italian wines. The kitchen, which focuses on high quality local ingredients, is led by Executive Chef Danny Trace, who received his formal training at the culinary arts program at Johnson & Wales University and perfected his skills under Chef Jamie Shannon and mentor Ella Brennan in the kitchen of Commander’s Palace in New Orleans. Chef Trace later worked as Executive Chef at Café Adelaide and Commander’s Palace in Destin and Brennan’s of Houston, before coming to Potente. The Wine Director is Vincent Montecuollo who honed his wine skills at Tony’s and DaMarco. The Astros owner Jim Crane owns Potente with managing partner, Bill Floyd, co-owner of REEF and other restaurants. Our event will be held in the private dining terrace reminiscent of a veranda in a private Italian garden.
Potente is located at 1515 Texas Ave., just across from the Minute Maid Park. Valet parking is available. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7:00 p.m. The attire for the evening is business casual.
To make your reservations, please send your check in the amount of $135 for members and $165 for each guest to Denise Welch.
Ciao,
David and Maureen Singleton and David and Kellie Halbert
