Dear IWFS friends,

Please join us on Monday, the 24th of April, as we celebrate the 7th Joy Fontes-Rothwell Spring Dinner.  This event is normally referred to as the Classical Dinner, but this year will be a little bit different.  In the kitchen of the renowned The Pass, Chefs (& Co-Owners) Terrence Gallivan and Seth Siegel-Gardner are co-creators of some of the finest menus in Houston.  Their pedigree is global: Acquavit, August, Aureole, C-House, the Modern, the Fat Duck, and Kata Robata, among others.  Now in their fifth year, the Pass continues to be rated one of Houston’s finest; rated #1 and #3 the past two years in Alison Cook’s Top 100.

Attached you will find a menu that characterizes the theme and tone of the evening.  We have granted them a bit of latitude, to tweak the menu if something truly compelling becomes available in the last few days leading up to our event.  Rest assured the quality of the meal will be unaffected; probably even enhanced, as they bring their inspiration to the table.  We want them to show off their best effort, which lends itself to spontaneity.  As always, food allergies will be respected.

This unique dining experience comes to us for $130 for members, and $180 for our guests, reflecting a subsidy for this traditional celebration.  Attire will be business casual, out of respect for Monday being a workday.  The champagne reception will kick off the evening at 6:30pm, with dinner to follow, in the intimate 42-seat dining room, which enjoys a view of the kitchen-in-action.

So please send your checks to:     Denise Welch

A Votre Sante,
