Dear IWFS Members,

We invite you to join us for a wonderful evening of food and wine on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at The Oceanaire Seafood Room located at 5061 Westheimer Road in the Galleria. Chef A.W. "Skip" King will provide us hors d'oeuvres followed by a delicious five course meal. Notably, prior to joining The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Chef “Skip” was an Assistant Executive Steward at The Houstonian and then Sous Chef at Sambuca. He joined The Oceanaire Seafood Room as Sous Chef in 2006 and became Executive Chef in 2011.

We are proud to say that four of the wines paired with the Chef's offerings are from our own cellar: 2011 Mas des Bressades Roussanne-Viognier, 2006 Stonestreet Chardonnay, 2002 Chateau de la Tour Clos Vougeot, and 2011 Ridge Lytton Springs.

Since this dinner is in October, the month of Halloween, and we will have the upstairs area of the restaurant to ourselves for the evening, we would again like to encourage alternative attire. The decor of the restaurant is referred to as that of a sleek "vintage ocean liner" from the 1930s, but we want to skip back one decade and ask you to please consider dressing as they did for a cocktail party in the "Roaring Twenties”. If that is not for you, please dress in modern cocktail attire. It should be a fun evening!

Our Sparkling Reception starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Valet parking will be available for $5.00, and there is self-parking in the Galleria parking garage.

The cost is $146 for members and $176 for guests. Please let us know of any food allergies so we can accommodate you. We look forward to seeing you there!

A Votre Sante,

Richard & Lisa White
