The Central Massachusetts Branch celebrated the start of the Spring season with a tour of the winery and distillery at Nashoba Valley Winery. The winery tour included a barrel tasting of wine in 2 different stages of maturity and a spirit tasting in the distillery room. Dinner followed at J's, the award-winning farm-house restaurant at the winery. Pre-dinner we conducted a blind tasting of a selection of Nashoba Valley's wines. There was much discussion and a few surprises including the strawberry rhubarb wine, Chardonnay, and a Cabernet Franc! The meal focused on local New England favorites with a twist! All wines served with dinner were produced by the winery.
