Congratulations to Betty Trent and Jeff Barger for organizing our Great Escape to PARK CITY, UTAH! Just imagine the wonderful feeling of enjoying IW&FS friends and experiencing wining and dining in one of the world’s great mountain resorts. Members golfed, went horseback riding, hiked and went mountain biking. The cooler weather was delightful after this 100+ summer in Central Texas. And it actually rained! But it didn't interfere with our fun.
On Thursday, September 15th, Executive Chef Michael Showers served an Alpine dinner at the Goldener Hirsch Inn Restaurant in Deer Valley. The inn and restaurant have the following accolades: rated 4 Diamond, voted “Best Restaurant” in Park City and Deer Valley by Salt Lake Magazine, rated #2 in the Ski Hotel category by Conde Nast magazine. In addition, the wine cellar has received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence every year since 1995.
