We are planning an out-of-the-ordinary event for September. Instead of a multi-course dinner with paired wines, we will have a fine wine tasting event accompanied with hors d’oeuvres. The focus will be the fine wines.
We have been working with a trained Sommelier to select a flight of seven wines that are a cut above what we are normally served with our traditional multi-course monthly dinners. The wines are high quality, highly rated, from respected appellations, with an average price of about $50 per bottle. The Sommelier will present each wine with detailed information in a classroom-style setting.
We have also been working with the Sterling Events Center as the venue for the event. They are a full-service business specializing in a variety of events. The on-site culinary staff at the Sterling Events Center has reviewed the flight of wines we plan to taste, and they have recommended a selection of hors d’oeuvres to serve with each of the wines. The hors d’oeuvres are not intended to be a dinner meal. Any dinner arrangements subsequent to the wine tasting will be independently left to the discretion of the attendees, as they desire.
The attached menu lists the wines and hors d’oeuvres we have selected for the event. We encourage you to participate in this unique event. Sampling this flight of fine wines should be memorable.
