We are delighted to announce our Midsummer day-trip to the food and drink hotspots in West Waterford on Friday July 10th.

This promises to be a great day packed with tours and tastings, including:

-       a trip to Barron’s Bakery in picturesque Cappoquin to see their Scotch Brick Ovens – the only bakery left in Ireland using these old-style ovens. The bread is proved slowly and naturally and the loaves are shaped by hand http://www.barronsbakery.ie

-       Dungarvan Brewing Company – one of the first wave of craft brewers set up in 2010. Renowned for their minimum intervention brewing, they make a fantastic selection of beers which pair really well with food and we’ll be able to experience this for ourselves with a special tasting http://dungarvanbrewingcompany.com

-       There’ll be a few surprise stops along the way before we head to The Tannery Dungarvan for dinner and a special menu laid on for the IWFS. The Tannery of course needs little or no introduction as it has become one of the most original and welcoming experiences in Irish food - a real foodie destination.

West Waterford has so much to offer food and drink lovers!
