This battle will see Caroline Hennessy (Food Writer, Broadcaster & Author) lock horns with Colm McCan (2014 National Sommelier of the Year) to pit the virtues of beer over wine. There’s only one way to find out. Tastings of food matched with a particular beer or cider, and a wine. See these two experts in their fields battle it out, but it’s the audience who decides - you vote with your glasses!
Food writer and broadcaster Caroline Hennessy is the co-author, with Kristin Jensen, of Sláinte: The Complete Guide to Irish Craft Beer and Cider (New Island). Colm McCan works with Le Caveau the specialist wine merchants, and is also consultant Sommelier at Ballymaloe House and wine lecturer at Ballymaloe Cookery School.
This is a fun and interactive event, which was first held in Savour Kilkenny last year and proved so popular it quickly booked out!
