The Jakarta Branch held an exquisite opening dinner on July 15 at Tugu Kunstkring Palais restaurant. A special degustation menu was prepared, a highlight being 'Kambing Panggang Beduin' - succulent Australian lamb cooked between two giant hot burning stone plates for hours, marinated with special herbs and served with aromatic Nasi Kebuli. Wines included Dom Perignon Champagne to start, Cloudy Bay's Te Koko Sauvignon Blanc, Leroy's Grand Cru Latriciere-Chambertin, Chateau Margaux 1st Growth Bordeaux, and Rieussec's Sauternes. A sensational night to mark the opening of IWFS Jakarta.
