Join us for the IWFS Great Wines Dinner and Business  Meeting. Members-Only Dinner

*** Plan to arrive 15-20 min early to get through security ***

We’re excited to be heading back to the French Embassy for the second “Great Wines Dinner” in a row. Chef Mark Courseille wowed us again at the trial lunch with his creative, delicious cuisine. As an added bonus, a representative from Remy Martin will join us to make a short presentation (and tasting!) of their famed Louis XIII cognac. This is a rare opportunity to try a truly special cognac. Because of this presentation, and the annual business meeting, we’re starting 30 minutes earlier than we normally start.

You may remember that logistics at the French Embassy require a little extra time and patience. There is no parking on the grounds of the embassy so valet parking will be available for all. The cost of the valet service, including the labor needed, is built into the price of the ticket. Everyone has to go through security, including metal detectors, to enter the embassy so you must bring your picture ID. Because of the security we suggest arriving between 5:30-5:40pm. The Louis XIII presentation will start at 6:00pm sharp.

Please note, once you go through security you must walk up the hill and to the left of their underground garage (which we can’t use unfortunately). Once you walk up the hill (to the left) our dinner will be in the building to the right of their parking circle. It’s not a terribly long walk but it is uphill. The entrance will be in the courtyard, on the far side of some outdoor seating. The door we need to go through will have a blue Le Café Descartes sign on it.

We look forward to a fabulous evening!
