What a wonderful Private Greek Wine tasting paired with a custom Greek Dinner.

In this event, the wines led the food.

Limeni the restaurant is named after a small village located in Mani, which is the Owner’s Grandmother’s birth place.

Peter Bikalis selected unique pairings of exclusive and private imported Greek wines for us

Thirty Three Members and guests met to start the IWFS Spring season. Peter Bikaris owner of Essencia Wines ( and a major importer of Greeek Wines) partnered with Nikolaos Tsarouhas, Chef/Owner of Restaurant Limeni, to create a special evening for us. Mr. Bikalis brought his best pairings- all Private Imports. Nikolaos Tsarouhas created a special menu to pair into the wine selection for us. Included was his unique preparation of Oysters Rockefeller. 

Peter and Nikolaos let the discussions describing the origins of the wines and of the food an how they paired together. Peter shared ancient Greek wine history as well as the background of the different grapes and vineyards.  By eleven PM, the evening that started at 7 pm closed as the owners and staff wanted to go home. A great evening had by all.
