The Miami Branch held our annual business meeting of May 29, 2019,  at Shorty's welcoming location in  Doral, pairing great barbeque  with great bin ends. Among the highlights of the meeting, we invited seven new members into the Miami Branch, and said farewell to six Members in good standing.  The new Members are David Glabman, nominated by Ariel Solorzano; Fernando Pou, nominated by Willie Gomez; Josh Mungavin, nominated by John Kozyak; Saul Sanders, nominated by John Kozyak; Scott Jontiff, nominated by John Kozyak; Norman Boone, nominated by Ted Evans; and Antonio Mesa, nominated by Ted Evans.

The Wine Committee reported in detail on the wine purchases this past year, a total of approximately $110,000. with much of it purchased at auction, and we reviewed purchasing plans for the upcoming year. 

The Miami Branch approved Branch donations for the next 5 years to the Florida International University Chapman School of Hospitality.
