 WHEN:

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

For our season opener we will leave the big  buildings behind, and  visit a 1920’s home near Wynwood, now  housing Jean Paul Desmaison’s latest restaurant.  Jean Paul was the original chef at La Cofradia in Coral Gables where you may remember that he created two wonderful events for us.  A year and a half ago, he opened his own restaurant, so it’s time to catch up.

You will see reflections of his Peruvian roots in the causa and tiradito appetizers, as well as our opening course of octopus.  European and US influences follow with dishes of duck confit with a Guinness and cilantro risotto, and short ribs braised with cabernet sauvignon and port wines.  We will end with dessert built with goat cheese and Pedro Ximenez wine.

All should match well with a suitable selection of wines from our cellar that your hosts are composing.
