The March dinner of the Memphis Wine and Food Society was held at Jem Restaurant . Classically trained CIA Chef Josh Mutchnick after working under top chefs in Chicago , D.C. and Philadelphia moved to Memphis to open his first restaurant in April 2024. Dinner Chairman Davit Tate collaborated with Chef Josh to create an exquisite menu paired with the society's wines. The Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet paired with the braised short rib adobo was a particularly notable course. Quoting society president Gary Burhop "the menu was inspired , the wines superb and the service spot on" which succinctly described the evening at this new Jem.
