The meal featured the best of autumn ingredients from within 100 kilometers of our city. Truly wonderful wines were featured from a boutique virtual winery Big Head Wines of Niagara www.bigheadwines.ca. Lots of smiling faces confirmed that a great evening was had by all.

Food: Pear and Roasted Garlic Soup featuring pickled Swiss chard and toasted almond

Food: Spiced Beet Salad with pickled pink onion, watercress, crushed hazelnut, olive oil, cider vinegar, watercress emulsion, fresh horseradish

Wine: Big Head Pinot Noir 2012

Wine: Intermezzo - Cranberry and pepper granita with homemade lime soda

Course V

Food: Roasted Pork Tenderloin with buttered Swiss chard, caramelized onion and black pepper mashed potato, natural jus, parsnip chip

Wine: Big Head Syrah 2012

Course VI

Food: Grown Up Ice Cream Sundae - brown sugar ice cream, whiskey toffee sauce, blackberries, sugar cone, sour cherry coulis

Wine: Big Head Select Late Harvest Riesling 2013
