The Kansas City, Missouri Branch’s Annual Meeting & Dinner was held on November 10, 2020 at the Carriage Club, one of the area’s premier exclusive dining and social institutions. Given COVID restrictions, the festivities were scaled back and attendance was limited. However, the black-tie attired attendees were not deterred in their enjoyment of one of the few in-person events offered this year. Members were treated to exceptional cuisine created by Carriage Club Executive Chef Rafael Cambron in conjunction with Executive Chef Andrew Longres from the American. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the IWFS Andres Simon Gold Award to Dr. King Lee for his many years of tireless service and generous efforts to preserve the memories, the structure, and the spirit of IWFS for the Kansas City Branch. His award was also accompanied by a video montage of members recognizing Dr. Lee’s many accomplishments.
