Americas Northeast Texas

Overview

The Northeast Texas Branch of IW&FS Celebrated its 47th Anniversary in January 2023.  The Branch Charter was granted January 16, 1976.  The Branch has a current membership of 70 wine and food enthusiasts . Branch members and their guests participate in monthly tastings to further their knowledge and interest in good wine and food.  Each month has a different theme which is chosen by the host and co-hosts and coordinated with the Wine Masters to learn about and to  taste different wines and foods from around the world.  Quarterly dinners are also arranged at Webb Hill Country Club  by the Officers and the Food Chairman and Food Committee in consultation with the club chef and coordinated with the Wine Masters.

The Branch has a county-wide wine tasting each year in the fall to raise money for their endowed scholarship fund at Texas A&M University-Commerce.  This event raises thousands of dollars to add to the endowment fund.  The event also helps to increase knowledge of Texas wines and the Texas Wine Industry and raises awareness of The International Wine & Food Society of The Americas, Inc.
