Wine - What You Always Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Ask!

On a lovely March afternoon, 30 members and guests of The Wine & Food Society of Jacksonville gathered at Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas for a wine class led by Sommelier Cam Bendetsen. Wines were chosen for their diverse characteristics, not specific varietal type and all were poured "blind". For each of six wines, Cam led the group through their Color and intensity, Aroma, Flavor/acidity/sweetness, Tannins/body/alcohol and Finish and Complexity, challenging all along the way. Tapas were served after each wine was poured which complimented the wine. All present, whether novice or veteran, agreed they learned from the presentation. Wines were chosen by Cam Bendetsen and Manager, Kori Tafoya.
