We are a group of wine and food enthusiasts dedicated to furthering our knowledge and enjoyment of fine food and wine while providing opportunities to meet and make friends with other like-minded people, sharing experiences along the way.

Our chapter hosts 10-12 events per year. We are interested in introducing our members to chefs and their restaurants’ within the Council Bluffs/Omaha metro area. Striving to offer a unique menu and wines carefully paired with the cuisine.

During the past year our events have included:

gourmet restaurant dinners
The International Wine & Food Society Board of Governors of the Americas Dinner in Omaha
Wine and food at members’ homes
A celebration based on the last dinner of the Titanic at the Renaissance Mansion
Formal Christmas Event at Metro Community College Culinary Institute’s Sage Bistro

Our restaurant dinners have included The Grey Plume - a new restaurant in Midtown Crossing as well as V. Mertz - long an Omaha fine-dining tradition, located in the Old Market. Members are encouraged to act in the planning of the dinners as well as the selection and pairing of wines, with the support of the Executive Committee.
